Newsletter ArchiveSUBJECT:Toll Free & Yellow Page Ads Welcome to The Internet 800 Directory Newsletter. This week, I’m on the road attending a conference in Fayetteville, NC. This is my first time in this part of the country. Please understand if I’ve been a little slow responding to your email this week. During the week, one of our readers sent in a link to a report on using toll free numbers in local Yellow Page Ads. The report is called “Evaluation of Consumer Attitudes Towards Toll-Free Numbers Appearing In Yellow Page Ads” and it was prepared for the Yellow Pages Publishers Association. The report is 65 pages but the print is large and it only took me about 20 minutes to read. The report provides information from a telephone survey of 600 consumers, examining attitudes and behavior towards toll free numbers in Yellow Page ads. If you have an ad in the local Yellow Pages or are thinking of place an ad, this is a report you should read. You will find the report at: http://www.yppa.org/pdf/Consumer_Attitudes_Towards_800numbers.pdf Last week I touched on the Internet Tax Freedom act. On Tuesday, I read a story that the European Union is close to agreeing upon a tax that they want us to charge and collect for them.
