We have just completed installing a new dialing feature within each listing in the directory. Consumers may now click any of the toll free numbers listed in our directory and be connected to that toll free number using their computer. This feature comes to us thru a new agreement with Qratings (http://www.qratings.com). Qratings specializes in real-time performance measurement, enhanced directory and marketing services for the toll-free sector of the telecommunications industry. There will be a press release announcing our new agreement soon. I will post it in the newsletter the week it is released. This issue's purpose is to let you know how to employ this technology in your own web site, just like in the 800 directory. Here's how you can make your toll free number a clickable link that will complete an online call: Step 1 In the header section of your web page place this line of text: <script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.qratings.com/partner/inter800.js"> </script> Step 2 Create a link using your toll free number and this code. Replace the x's with your number in both places and make sure and use the correct toll free prefix (800, 888, 877, etc.) <A HREF="javascript:void(0)"onClick="makeCall('1-800-xxx-xxxx')">1-800-x xx-xxxx</A> You have turned you toll free number into a link that will connect to your toll free number with simple click. I think we all agree that the easier we make it for customers to contact us, the better. After many requests from the group, we have created an archive of our newsletter articles.
