Newsletter ArchiveSUBJECT: Worth While Quote Welcome to The Internet 800 Directory Newsletter, today I'm traveling to Boston. This week's newsletter is being sent to you while I'm 30,000 feet over the United States sitting in a crammed full plane without enough legroom. It is, in fact, a wonderful age in which we live. The only item I want to share today is a signature that was on an e-mail sent to me by Larry Wittenborn. "Remember that he that has a place to sell and goes and whispers in a well is not so apt to get the Dollar$ as he who climbs a tree and Hollers! " Larry told me he found it 10 years ago on the back of one of those little bags of sugar in a donut shop and its been on the back of his business card ever since. This saying really struck me because it uses a well for its imagery. When was the last time any of us has gone to the well to get our water? The verse is from an earlier time and really brings home the fact that no mater how great our technology advances the basic premises on which business is built remains the same. Unfortunately all the technology that makes our life so much easier makes the task of effectively broadcasting our message to the public that much harder. I hope everybody has a safe and successful week and time permitting next week I will cover the robot.txt file.
